Please join the Washington DC Region, SCCA for our Spring Rally Trek, "Trekking Track to Track 2026" on Saturday, June 6, 2026

Join us on Saturday June 6 and travel with your fellow sports car enthusiasts for "Trekking Track to Track 2026" as we start from Summit Point's Jefferson Circuit.  After a few pace laps on the Jefferson, we will exit the gates of Summit Point, where the immediate landscape of West Virginia’s panhandle greets you with tight, shaded lanes that feel like an extension of the paddock—intimate, technical, and dappled with sunlight filtering through ancient oaks. Here, the air is crisp, carrying the faint scent of cut hay and gear oil. As you cross the border into Virginia, the topography softens into the long, sweeping undulations of the Shenandoah Valley, where we will have a stop at Callaway Classics, to admire some truly classic cars.  

Following our stop at Callaway Classics, the back roads here are a masterclass in flow. There is a specific joy in the third-gear sweepers that follow the natural contour of the foothills where these two-lane ribbons require a conversation between the hands and the tires. You may find yourself rev-matching into a descent toward a stone bridge, then rolling onto the throttle as the road rises to reveal a panorama of the Blue Ridge Mountains or sprawling horse farms of Middleburg and beyond.  We have a planned lunch stop at Tim's on Lake Anna for  lunch https://www.timslakeanna.com/menu

Descending further toward Thornburg, the air grows heavier and warmer, signaling the approach to the Virginia tidewater region. The road straightens slightly, the pines grow taller and when the signature lights of Dominion Raceway finally appear on the horizon, you arrive not fatigued by traffic but ready for cold beverages and an evening watching NASCAR local circle track racing.

                                                       
 About 170 miles will be covered in the 5-hour tour. 

If you would like to come explore the area the day or evening before, there are plenty of great places to dine, along with several hotels in the immediate area of the starting point at Summit Point Motorsport Park.

Rain or shine we roll out on the adventure at 9am.

COST:  $55 per car, and no charge for the additional passengers.  Registration closes on 7:00 pm Thursday, June 4, 2026.    Note: Early registration is strongly encouraged and appreciated.  If you need to cancel and notify us by 7 pm, June 4, 2026 a full refund will be issued.   

Each car entered in the Trek must have a Regular Member or at least one Weekend Member in the car during driving portions of the rally.
